Each and every one of my wedding packages will include a professionally
designed wedding album with a selection of your favorite
pictures. THIS IS IMPORTANT. I know; I learned the hard way.If you have been reading from the beginning, you will remember that I did not want to photograph weddings, and because of that I never thought much about after the wedding day. I would just edit and process the images, maybe print a few proof prints to throw in a $5.00 album from the drug store, and deliver the whole thing to the bride in a paper bag. My brides were always very happy with the photos, and assured me that they would go through and pick out their favorites and put them in a proper album. They didn't. Not one that I know of. Not that they didn't want to, they just never got around to it, or they did a little research and found out how expensive it is. Most of them still show that five dollar proof book to everyone and that ends up being good enough. Well it isn't. You just made one of the most important decisions of your life, spent months or even years planning it to be the perfect day, and then made it through to step into a new chapter of your life. You need something to show for that, something to look back on to re-live the day and to remember all of those special moments. Good enough just doesn't cut it. My wife and I had a great photographer at our wedding. He did a wonderful job of documenting our story. When we returned from our honeymoon he delivered our book of 4x6 proofs to look at and gave us some options for albums to purchase if we liked. We've been married for twelve years and when someone wants to see our wedding pictures, they get to look at that proof book. Hopefully someday I'll get around to giving my wife the album she deserves. next > |
